An Emmy & regional Murrow award-winning journalist, Todd has covered some of the country's biggest stories, including COVID-19, the sexual assault investigations at Fort Hood/Cavasos, the dramatic return of Trevor Reed from Russian custody, Texas political cycles, Hurricane Harvey, the West fertilizer plant explosion, the SpaceX impact on Texas, and even chasing infamous 'Affluenza' teen Ethan Couch to Mexico.

Since early 2020, Todd has been the evening anchor at KXXV, the ABC affiliate in Central Texas. He provides daily editorial & EP leadership, while field anchoring breaking news & major events in the community. He regularly reports in-depth stories with an emphasis on compelling characters & exclusives. Todd has helped grow the 5 & 6 p.m. newscasts to #1 in 25-54A demo & #2 at 10 p.m. He was a 2021 & '23 Lone Star Emmy nominee for ‘Best Newscast,' and also a 2021 & '22 Give Light Scripps Howard Award nominee. He was also nominated for ‘21 ‘Best Newscast’ & ‘Best Reporter’ by the TX AP Broadcast Awards. His contributions helped KXXV take home three regional Murrow awards last year, a station first.

Todd spent the fall of 2019 working as a host & journalist for a documentary investigating the EU & Romanian justice systems. Prior to that, he was a reporter and fill-in anchor for WFAA in Dallas/Fort Worth. His work has been regularly recognized by the Texas AP Broadcasters Association, and he took home a 2018 Lone Star Emmy for coverage of Hurricane Harvey. He was also nominated for several other Lone Star Emmys during his WFAA tenure, and covered major stories from the Fort Hood shooting to the Ebola crisis to the Ethan Couch case. He was one of the few American journalists to chase Couch to Mexico when he fled from Texas authorities.

Todd previously worked at KOAT, the ABC affiliate in Albuquerque, where he broke a number of high-profile investigations, including a series of shady land deals where taxpayers lost millions of dollars. He received a Rocky Mountain Emmy for a story on a major gun robbery at a historic New Mexico ranch.
Earlier in his career, Todd anchored and reported in Nebraska after graduating from the University of Denver.

He's a regular volunteer with Meals on Wheels Waco, serves on their board, helps lead a mentorship program in a local schools district, enjoys emceeing community events, and is a past mentor with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Omaha Public Schools TeamMates program. He previously served on the board of the Society of Professional Journalists Fort Worth chapter, which covers the entire North Texas area. He also serves on the alumni board for the University of Denver's Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences School.
